About the event

Thank you for visiting! Our RTD event will be focused on the gaps, barriers and opportunities facing all who walk, use a wheelchair or take the bus as their primary form of transportation. Pedestrian Dignity events are rooted in *lived experience*, cross-agency connection/collaboration, youth voice/leadership, and more.

It being hosted by Justin, Nica, Inessa, Phyllis, Aubrey, Alejandra, Jonathon and other local advocates alongside the Pedestrian Dignity project. It is not formally hosted by any one organization or entity. You are joining this event knowing the risks involved. We will send a planning email out to all who RSVP.

If you are:

(A) Transportation Professional (city, state, or private planner, engineer, decision-maker)

(B) Citycouncilmember, State representative, RTD staff/board member

(C) Local or regional advocate for pedestrian safety/accessibility

(D) Youth interested in advocating for pedestrian safety/accessibility

(D) Local voice/advocate living or working/commuting in or near Alameda Ave

(E) Local non-profit working on pedestrian/multi-modal transportation, climate action, etc

(F) Journalist wanting to cover the gaps, barriers, and experiencing of moving on foot or on a wheelchair along Mississippi Ave

...we want you to join us! While we don't want to limit participation, we do want to be mindful of safety related to group size. Please RSVP and let us know of any additional guests.

Route Planning Notes: We will be ending our walk/roll near Mississippi & Vallejo at/near 4:30 pm. Please plan an extra 10-20 minutes if you are going to take the bus back (we will take the RTD 14, which runs every 30 min.). If you have a hard 4:30 pm, please plan to be picked up or have an alternative plan.

We are excited to have you and your team with us for this event, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
